Fellow technicians/technologists,
They say that the only thing constant in life is change.
Lately our industry has been bombarded with change on a technical, theoretical and adminstrative point of view. We make crown and bridge frameworks with computers, we cure acrylic in microwaves, and we may claim directly from medical aids.
Internationally professionals over a vast number of disiplines have to comply with CPD programs. We are one of the last professional occupations in South Africa to comply with CPD.
I would like to clear up a few facts about CPD and our AGM.
-
The admimistrative cost of R30 per CPD credit for the lectures at the AGM is INCLUDED in the registration fee of R800. You need not worry about any hidden cost in this regard!
-
You will have to attend the lectures during the day on Friday 5, and Saturday 6 June 2009 in order to receive you CPD credits. THEY ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY AWARDED BY YOUR REGISTATION AND PAYMENT FOR THE AGM! Neither will you receive all the possible credits by just attending the actual annual general meeting, or only some of the lectures. Attendance registers will have to be signed and according to that, credits will be awarded.
Please remember that registration for the AGM ends on Friday 22 May 2009. Please get your forms in beforehand in order for Elize to be able to process everything.
Change is not always easy to embrace, but it gives us the oppertunity to grow, if we allow it to. We are bound by law to comply with CPD. I would like to invite you to embrace the change in our industry. Claim the new technology for yourself and ensure the future of Dental Technology in South Africa.
I look forward to welcoming you all at the AGM.
Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me, or join me on facebook.
Kind regards
Naomi Olivier
