We have decided to post an employee section on our website which will keep our employees informed on all relevant and important matters.

DENTASA constantly endeavors to improve the profession not only for laboratory owners but also for employees. In May 2008, Council took a resolution that the new minimum salary will be R7950. With this we would like to remind all employees that increases must be done in May of each year. Thus any requests or inquiries have to be submitted to Council prior to this time.

For DENTASA to make a difference we need to communicate with and get input from our valued members. We would like to encourage all dental technician employees to attend our annual general meeting (AGM). This is the platform where major decisions are made and important matters discussed and where we still need more employee participation and ‘feed-back’.

During the AGM all members were informed that all technicians earning R9600 or less must be paid overtime. This is according to the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.

If you have anything that requires more immediate attention and resolve please do not hesitate to phone Anso or Claudia or you can phone the office and have it placed on the agenda for discussion at our meetings.
